Since 1976

The Missouri City – Fort Bend Alumnae Chapter was chartered on May 22, 1976 as the 553rd chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Twelve professional women made the decision to request the chartering of a new chapter under the leadership of Charter President Rosalie Johnson Buggs, Southwest Regional Director Eula Butler and National President Thelma Thomas Daley. On October 24, 1978, the Chapter name was changed to the Suburban Houston – Fort Bend Alumnae Chapter.

SUCCESS STORIES

FOUNDED WITH A HEART OF SERVICE

Since its inception, SHFBAC has continued to promote and execute the national programmatic thrusts of the Sorority. These thrusts aim to maximize our impact on the community.  The Chapter built alliances with agencies such as the American Heart Association, the NAACP, the Fort Bend Women’s Center, Houston Community College, the Ensemble Theater and the United Negro College Fund to name a few.

GREAT THINGS IN LIFE ARE NEVER DONE BY ONE PERSON. THEY’RE DONE BY A TEAM OF PEOPLE.
